The Inspyration of a New Year...
A Time for New Beginnings!

As I reflect on this past year I am reminded of the challenges that seemed ever so difficult to leave behind in 2009... So I brought them with me in 2010. I weathered the storms & prevailed... Not to say there wasn't new challenges throughout the year in 2010, for that is "life happening" -> I lived them, I learned from them and I let go of them. With that, in 2011 I'm going to keep dreaming, living, inspyring & definitely take time to enjoy the simple things for they are the BEST things in life!"

Hoping the New Year brings you many Magical Moments and may it be filled with time to Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Always, Live Simply, Speak Kindly, Care Deeply, Love Generously, Laugh as much as you can breathe and Love as Long as you Live!

Peace & Inspyration on Earth

"There is no beauty more beautiful than our Earth."~InSpyrs

As I listened to this "Song about the Earth" by Andrea Bocelli today my heart & soul filled with such emotion, accompanied with ultimate love, inspyration and amazement for this place we call Earth. What are we living for? How are we living? Is this what living on Earth should be like? Ask yourself these questions as you go deep within thyself and seek the answer. Only you can determine whether or not you are living the life you love to live.

"You are the artist of your life ~ The paintbrush is in your hand ~
Paint the life you love and live it!"

Peace ~ Love ~ Inspyration to you all!

Celebrating Zoi ("Life") ~ A Day of Gratitude

Zoi's Life Story

Being a rescue pup, Zoi's actual date of birth is unknown however, it is believed she was born sometime in November 2008. Given how thankful I am to have her in my life I've decided Zoi's Birthday will be celebrated on Thanksgiving Day every year.

Zoi was found in early December'08. Shortly thereafter, this little bundle of joy was socialized at Juvenile Hall in the girls unit as part of a responsible pet care program. As a result she loves children and cuddling is her favorite pass time. Zoi became part of my life when I attended a National Charity League Luncheon on March 1, 2009. Zoi (then known as "Skipper") was an auction item (from OC Animal Care). I took one look at her and just could not resist. Zoi (Meaning "Life" in Greek) has truly brought "life" back into my heart & soul. She is a light of peace & positivity and I am so thankful for her unconditional love.

Some may say "oh how can you feel like that over a dog?"... my response, "the unconditional love I recieve from Zoi is priceless and I'm ever so grateful for her presence in my life". Zoi brings many smiles and much love to numerous people. She was my travel companion to Greece this past Summer and helped "Inspyre Peace in Greece". My hope is Zoi will continue to bring loving inspyration to others as she does daily for me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET ZOI!

So this Thanksgiving stop for a moment, go deep within your heart & soul and take the time to show your love & gratitude to those who have brought light into your life. Happy Thanksgiving to you & all who bring light to your life!

love, light & inspyration to your life." ~INSPYRS

A "PEACE" OF "KINDNESS" GOES A LONG WAY

As I sit here on my balcony amongst the beauty and tranquility of Mykonos, Greece I reflect upon the word "kindness". Is it a word sometimes forgotten, is it a thought not commonly placed in ones mind or has it been diluted by society due to the situation we currently find the world in today?

Never-the-less I remain ever so strong in my belief that it is the random acts of kindness that bring about positive change in the world. Though sometimes one may feel ever so unappreciated you must remain in a good state of mind knowing that it is much more peaceful to be kind then to live a life of greed and selfishness.

We each have been brought to this earth for a purpose. We are taken to different places for good reasons. It is up to each of us as individuals to take responsibility for ourselves and our actions to seek our purpose and to then live it.

Sometimes that means patience is needed, knowledge is to be sought and kindness is to be shared. This combination can only bring about peace amongst the world... Wouldn't that be wonderful? Indeed it would...!

On this odyssey I am on with my sweet little Zoi I have experienced a variety of all mentioned above. I remain positive in knowing it is from the random acts of kindness I have given that I have received beautiful kindness in return... leaving me humbled by the beauty of life happening before me.

We must first "Dream" our dreams, "Believe" in our dreams, "Live" our dreams and then most importantly "INSPYRE" our dreams!

Here's a poem I came across... Hope it "inspyres" you!

"Kindness"

Before you know what kindness really is
you must lose things,
feel the future dissolve in a moment
like salt in a weakened broth.
What you held in your hand,
what you counted and carefully saved,
all this must go so you know
how desolate the landscape can be
between the regions of kindness.
How you ride and ride
thinking the bus will never stop,
the passengers eating maize and chicken
will stare out the window forever.

Before you learn the tender gravity of kindness,
you must travel where the Indian in a white poncho
lies dead by the side the road.
You must see how this could by you
how he too was someone
who journeyed through the night with plans
and the simple breath that kept him alive.

Before you know kindness as the deepest thing inside,
you must know sorrow as the other deepest thing.
You must wake up with sorrow.
You must speak to it till your voice
catches the thread of all sorrows
and you see the size of the cloth.

Then it is only kindness that makes sense any more,
only kindness that ties your shoes
and sends you out into the day to mail letters and purchase bread,
only kindness that raises its head
from the crowd of the world to say
It is I you have been looking for,
and then goes with you every where
like a shadow or a friend.

"INSPYRING PEACE IN GREECE"
As The Odyssey began...
by pamela spyrs

Upon arrival to Greece a couple weeks ago the movement of the earth made it's way in numerous directions for my sweet dog, Zoi and I. Having found our path we are immersed by the beauty and inspyration of Greece through each brief travel we have made thus far. Finding time to "Inspyre Peace" along the way we have encountered wonderful people from family & friends to new acquaintances. Though at times there was distractions I never let anything stand in our way of living the dream I have built and allowing it to build me.

The amazement that surrounds every ancient ground we have visited has been inspyring beyond words. To know that some of the most prominent people in time stood amongst the lands of which we are visiting brings ultimate pride filling my heart with peace and agape.

From the grounds of Delphi where the Temple of Apollo stands ever so strong to the extraordinary grounds of Ancient Olympia, home of the original Olympic Games, the feeling of excellence enters my mind repeatedly. It is the Greeks that started much of what we use in our everyday life today. From Theater, to the world of medicine to the magnificent Olympic Games we have been given the greatest of gifts from the Greeks.

I have the greatest appreciation for my ancestry and am forever humbled by the greatness that comes from my homeland.

As Zoi and I proceed with our inspyrational odyssey I will post more of our travels, findings and write more of those who we meet as we continue "Inspyring Peace In Greece".

Dream It! Believe It! Inspyre It!

'JULY 2010 ~ Hollywood Weekly Magazine'

Senior Editor's Note

It was a warm afternoon in early June as I was sitting in a local art gallery admiring a clients beautiful sculptures when a thought came to mind; that's it, that's our July issue of Hollywood Weekly. Let's spotlight remarkable people: their art, their stories and their dreams!

The compilation of the July issue of Hollywood Weekly has been carefully thought through with a focus on exposing those who dare to dream, unselfishly create and live inspirational lives. Each story written in turn tells a story of personal journeys and their life initiatives.

As Senior Editor I'm given the opportunity to share
true stories behind the scenes of multiple industries related to entertainment. In this month's issue, while keeping in mind the philosophy of our magazine, No Gossip ~ Strictly Entertainment, we have brought in various people of all sorts living extraordinary lives and who do so against all odds.

In addition to my role as senior editor at Hollywood Weekly I am founder of INSPYRS, a company based on showcasing the humanitarian efforts of talented artists and innovators with a primary focus on "inspyring" others to build their dream and then let their dream build them. And that's exactly the types of stories we are sharing in this issue.

Who are these people? How are they connected to the entertainment industry? Or are they merely change agents living in the now and influencing positive change in Hollywood and beyond! Read on and see for yourself.

I hope you enjoy this issue and that you find fulfillment in these incredible stories.

peace & inspyration,
Pamela

Oil Spill Tragedy Gulf Alert 2010

Through the inspyrational eyes of Mary Osborne, James Pribram - Eco Warrior and Chuck Patterson. A video of the deep truth...

Extensive photographic and video documentation of the trip, including a "protest" shoot of Pro Surfers Mary Osborne, James Pribram and Chuck Patterson stand-up paddling through a bayou in full Haz-Mat suits, has been designed to support the ongoing nature of the Gulf Alert media campaign. Through internet blogs, television interviews and magazine articles, the Gulf Alert initiative aims to raise the question: what can be done to save our planet's fragile eco-systems before the point of no return?

My passion of our oceans runs deep. From sea to shining sea our sea life continues to be killed and destroyed by the mindless acts of humans mostly because of greed. There is life that lives within waters needing our attention globally. I hope this message will inspyre you to seek out waters near a body of land that you hold close to your heart & do all possible to help save the life that lives within those waters. What's mine you ask? My homeland Greece.

Lucky Girls

As I continue my odyssey in life I sometimes stumble & fall ~ I get up & I keep walking. Sometimes I hit walls, take wrong turns & even get lost but I always find my way back. Some enter my path, distract me & even bring darkness however, I always find the light & it again leads me back. **I feel a calling & the light is guiding me. These girls are gifts of the earth who aren't just 'taking' help they truly 'need' help. This is what "pay it forward" is about. Please help these "Lucky Girls" if you can. ♥ peace, gratitude & inspyration!

Ithaka's: The Reincarnation Of A Surfboard exhibit leaves one speechless. The amazement of each sculpture having once been a surfboard leaves one asking "wow - imagine the stories that surfboard must have to share... and now one can only imagine what stories will be shared every time this epic art is seen.

Ithaka's exhibit is breathtaking and leaves me in ultimate awe. His newest sculpture "INSPYRING SOULS" is undoubtedly a treasured piece of art for this inspyred soul.

Come see Ithaka's: The Reincarnation Of A Surfboard at The CAMP in Costa Mesa ~ On display through June 12, 2010.
